Facebook Live, Now On A Computer Near You

Tired of streaming to Facebook Live with your mobile device? Now you don't have to.

You can now use Facebook Live from your computer.  No mobile device required.  What does this mean for LESM you ask? Not much.  It's not a game changer, but it is another option for you when creating your live stream strategy for your Facebook Live Stream.

Streaming to Facebook Live from your computer is easy. It's just like posting a picture or any other post.

  • Click in the status text box, then click on Start a Live Video button.
  • Enter a brief description, select your preferred privacy setting, then click Next.
  • When prompted, click Allow to give Facebook permission to access your webcam and microphone.
  • Finally, click on Go Live

It's that simple. For those of you that stream off site, on the go, this may not be an option you use.  However, if you are streaming from within your agency, this might be a great way to do it.  For example, if your Chief wants to provide a live message to the community from the comfort of his desk, this would be a great way to do it.

If this is an option you will use, leave us a comment let us know how you will be using it.
